In 2008 the Joint-Stock Bank Kyivska Rus successfully worked with correspondent banks and carried out a weighed policy in the area of correspondent relations. Due to successful usage of the existing settlements as an instrument, the bank had an opportunity to offer various services to its Clients.
As of December 31, 2008 the bank’s correspondent network had 54 correspondent accounts. Our unchangeable correspondents are the leading banks of Ukraine, Europe, the U.S. and the CIS countries. Among them are Deutsche Bank AG, Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, Commerzbank AG, Promsviazbank, Sobinbank, Ukreksimbank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, VAB and Ukrgasbank.
Retail banking is one of the top priorities of JSB Kyivska Rus. In order to increase the range of services, the bank has opened an additional correspondent account in EUR in Ukrgasbank for carrying out settlements for plastic cards transactions. Using correspondent accounts, the bank has introduced settlements of LEADER money transfer system.
In 2008 foreign currency transactions in all correspondent accounts totalled (in the hryvnya equivalent):
- US dollars received: 12,939 billion hryvnyas; disbursed 12,433 billion hryvnyas;
- Euros received: 2,435 billion hryvnyas; disbursed 2,352 billion hryvnyas;
- Russian rubles received: 1,800 billion hryvnyas; disbursed 1,806 billion hryvnyas.
The general number of the carried out transactions in 2008 is more than 26,000.
