Results of the card business activity in 2009

In 2009 card business continued its development, increased its customer and funding bases and became a Principal Member of Visa International Payment System that allowed us to increase the customer attendance.

During 2009 there were installed 8 ATMs. At the moment there are 82 ATMs within the Bank’s system, which form a part of UkrCard Payment System. There are more than 1,700 of ATMs where Clients can withdraw cash without commission. Moreover, nearly 2,500 of ATMs of UkrCard Payment System are at the disposal of the payroll cards holders, who can withdraw cash without commission as well.

The number of cards was increased by 20%. With general decrease in the number of active cards in the banking system the general number of the Bank’s active cards increased by 17,000. There are, in general, 93,000 of cards within the Bank.

Increase in the number of clients caused a rise of the card account balances. In 2009 the foregoing balances increased by UAH 30 million with current amount UAH 100 mln.

Nearly 106 enterprises entrusted us with the wages payment to card accounts of employees. There are, in general, 607 enterprises at the moment.

More than 16,000 of pensioners are serviced in the bank and their number was tripled for in 2009. We would like to express our deep gratitude to our clients.
